Hot Sale on Cool UGG's

UGG Clovis $119.99 (Reg. $200)

UGG Dakota $59.90 (Reg. $100)

UGG Laela Sparkles $65.99 (Reg. $110)

UGG Latice Cardy $84.99 (Reg. $140)
UGG Hartley $164.99 (Reg. $275)
I know, I know! You've seen too many little girls running around in UGGs and shorts in the middle of summer and now you think UGGs are not for you. However, once you get your feet into a pair of these shoes you may never take them off. UGGs range from the classic stovepipe to boot to tennis shoes and even heels. Most are lined with their super comfy sheepskin material that just feel like you're in your slippers all day (in fact they make several styles of slippers that can pass as actual shoes so you can wear your slippers all day!). I personally own the Cardy style UGG that I can convert from a short boot to a tall one. Right now 6pm.com is running a great sale on UGGs. The prices are similar to outlet pricing and if you don't live near an outlet then this will be a treat for you. These will sell out super fast so hurry on over!

Valentine's Day + Tools = Happy Man

Craftsman Mechanics Tool Set $199 (Reg $299)
If your guy is anything like my husband then they LOVE tools (sometimes almost more than he loves you!). And, if he's a toolophile then he likes Craftsman because a. they're a well known brand (never let a guy say he's not into brand names because its a lie) b. if the tool ever breaks he can return it to Sears for a brand new one due to the lifetime warranty and c. Craftsman has pretty much every basic and specialty tool you could ever need or want. Right now Shop Your Way Rewards Members (sign up online if you haven't already) are being given 5-20% off sale, clearance, and regular prices during Sears Friends and Members Event. In store just present your members card to save, online just use your member's ID and promo code MEMBERS2. Besides that Sears is running an additional sale for up to 30% off mechanics tools and tool storage. So ladies, shop on and go get yourself a happy man!

Your Brows are Going to Benefit!

Benefit Cosmetics always comes up with great add-on makeup (by add-on I mean super great items that aren't basics like foundation, eyeshadow, lipstick). I don't prefer their basic cosmetic lines but, I do love their items like Hula Bronzer, Boi-ing Concealer, and Dandelion Face Brightening powder. I could go without these items but, they add a great natural quality to my makeup. At any rate, they've done it again with their new shade of High Brow pencil in Glow. I'm always looking for the perfect way to highlight my brows (when done correctly it makes my eyes seem brighter and less squinty) and this is an easy and smudge proof way to do it. Plus, at $20 and the idea of a little goes a long way this is an item that won't break the bank either. This item is definitely going into my must-have makeup bag.

Repay your School by Shopping - Upromise!

If you haven't heard of Upromise now is the time to find about it. Upromise is a great way to pay back a little more of your school loans by doing the things you do every day like going out to eat, getting gas, buying groceries and shopping online. It's free to set up an account and all you have to do is register your rewards cards and credit cards that you use to shop and not only will you get points when you shop at your favorite retailers through the Upromise website you'll also get points when you're tooling around doing your everyday tasks out in the real world. Upromise keeps track of your earnings for a full quarter (that's 3 months in regular person speak) and then will either pay off your current loan or put the money into a college savings account for you or your children (or future children for you super planners). You can also pool accounts with your friends and family and get them to help you pay off your loans by shopping! It's like earning money on your money (and your friends and family's money)!

So you can buy really great brands to take over to your wine snob friend's house and not be worried that the bottle will sit in the back of their wine cellar gathering dust and turning to vinegar.  Plus, you can order online!

The Way to a Man's Heart

My mother always said that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. The old adage definitely proves to be true during any major holiday, especially on Valentine's Day (for all you forgetful people out there it's in less than 2 weeks away). I always want to send my husband something he'll actually like but, most of the options out there are floral arrangements or something pink. That would definitely be something he wouldn't like! Mrs. Field's cookies is running a special (15% off!) for the next 2 days on cookie arrangements for Valentine's Day. Run over to Mrs. Field's and send your guy something he'll really like too. No coded needed.

Ping Shark Update

Dreamhost Coupon

Hot, Hot Tools (for your Hair)

Ulta is one of those stores that I sometimes forget about. However, they always seem to have what I call "the in-between" products. Meaning, items I can't find at the local CVS or Rite-Aid and items that I don't want to pay the price Sephora is demanding. Ulta also has regular 20% off coupons which they offer while they run other sales (almost unheard of in retail).

Right now Ulta is offering all of their Hot Tools hair tools for 20% off plus they have a coupon for an additional 20% (Coupon Code 63184) off on top. Hot Tools is not the most sought after brand of hair tools however, they do heat up to a high temperature, offer options that only the really high-end hair tools offer (you know the ones I'm talking about, T3, CHI and other super expensive brands) like professional style cords, and in my experience they seem to last for quite a while.

Get 'em while they're hot!

Angry Shoppers Out and About

Every so often I'll see a story in the news that makes me smile. Since this site is dedicated to all the other Angry Shoppers out there I'd like to re-post this one from the Chicago Sun-Times:

"A shopper struck back at the man who tried to rob her in the parking lot of a Joliet Wal-Mart, driving after him and hitting him with her car before he got away, police said.

Joliet police Cmdr. Al Roechner said the woman had just finished putting groceries into her silver Pontiac about 10 p.m. at the store at 2424 W. Jefferson St. when Byron J. Adams, 31, of Joliet approached her and demanded her purse.

When she said she didn’t have one Adams took out a handgun, but the woman ignored him and started to drive away, Roechner said. The woman apparently got angry, though, and decided to chase after Adams with her car, Roechner said.

She succeeded in hitting him, but he was able to run away. He was unarmed when he was found nearby, and he did not require medical treatment, Roechner said. He was charged with armed robbery."

I absolutely believe that this woman was fiercely guarding her designer purse that she got at a 90% off sale. I might have run him over too! Lesson #1: Never a touch a woman's discounted purse.

Book Nook - What I'm Reading Now

So I really like books. But, unfortunately I don't always have time to find my own books so I read pretty much whatever my friends throw at me. Right now they're very much into the vampire and werewolf craze. So the latest series that I'm reading is the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward.
Ward puts a new spin on the vampire tale by creating a new back story for the vampire race complete with their own society, religion and rules. The vampires are also no threat to humans as they need to feed from other vampires in order to survive. However, the vampires still aren't safe. They're being hunted by an evil group of undead called The Lessening Society. But, the vampires fight back with a warrior group called the Black Dagger Brotherhood who hunts The Lessening Society in order to protect the vampire race. The Black Dagger Brotherhood is made up of a small group of large (6'7" at least), beautiful (as in model), deeply damaged (psychotic, celibate, burning hands, etc.) men. Each book focuses on one of it's member and their journey to love.
Right now I'm reading Book #5 - Lover Unbound. I'm completely enthralled in these books due, in no small part, to the hot and steamy romances between each of the vampires and their chosen woman. Can you hear me swooning?

Teenage Corner - Super SMASH

OK, so I personally don't have kids but I have lots of girlfriends that do (bless their saintly souls). However, one thing that all young girls have in common is the need to document their daily lives (why do you think they market Diaries almost exclusively to teenage girls?). At any rate, several of my friends complain that they're constantly missing common supplies like tape, or markers, etc. Here's a novel idea, get a SMASH kit for your unruly teenager. K&Co has created a great product that definitely appeals to the teenage girl's desire to document their lives in a customizable format. SMASH journals come in a variety of colors and have tons of accessories for your teenager to save all their small mementos or to keep a journal without being the same as everyone else. They're available at Michael's, Joann's or your local craft chain store.

Stella & Dot - Spot On

So, I guess I should forewarn you...I'm not a fan of the shopping party. Partly because I actually have to go somewhere and partly because once you get me there I'm inclined to buy far too much stuff (in other words I'm a home party sales consultant's dream). Plus these things just make me cranky because I'm generally thinking to myself (or at least muttering very quitely so as not interupt the highly fascinating sales presentation) that the stuff I'm seeing is either junk, overpriced or both. However, after that incredibly long preface, I've discovered a party I would willing go to and would happily buy too much stuff. Stella & Dot. They have fantasticly fun jewelry for both women and little girls at prices that I can tolerate. They also have sales on their website but, then you'd miss out on the vegetable platter and foamy punch.

Carlos Falchi Hits mark.

Carlos Falchi and mark. (Avon's baby sister) have teamed up to create a line inspired by Rio. There are some super cute earrings and purses that all have the Carlos Falchi tag (but not the $$$$). There are some good makeup items as well. I'm sort of hit and miss with mark. though. Sometimes they have some fantastic things at super low prices and others are just so-so. I usually really like their frangrances and earrings but their shoes and skin products I'd probably pass on.

Old is New Again!

OMG! If I have to keep re-doing my movie collection I think I might kill myself! ARRRGGHHHH! Fortunately Warner Bros. feels my pain. They have a new program called DVD2BLU where you can send in all of your Warner Bros. movies that you have on DVD and upgrade them to Blu-Ray for a $4.95 fee per movie. That's nicer than having to spend $20+ dollars to buy a new Blu-Ray movie for my Blu-Ray player when I already have it on DVD.

Body Shop Basket Case

The Body Shop is doing a fantastic Mother's Day deal...They're offering a gift basket for $5 and then anything you can fit inside of it for 50% off! I'm going right now....
